What do you think about the game?

I was just curious to find out what everybody thinks about the game?

I think Illyriad jsut goes to prove that its NOT all about fancy graphics and mobile phone updates

WHo would think that something so very basic to look at /listen to would be so much fun to play

I agree, there is something to be said for having to use a little imagination. I also think it's gets better as it goes on.

I'm finding it quite addictive,there seems to be so much in reach all the time.

A little early yet, but it kinda seems like a cross between evony's resource gathering/building upgrades with some d&d character to it. Not bad. Although it is early, I do like it. I am eager to be able to expand to a second or third city and see how things change.

The one thing I will say is that it picks up steam fast. When I first started there wasn't much more to do than read the forum and send out the occasional caravan. Now there is almost always something to do between spies, caravans, thieves, army's, upgrades, etc. That definitely helps to keep the interest and once war becomes a larger part, then it will be even more fun.

The game is kinda slow in the beginning ...
But as said Tuban logo he holds your attention with improvements and fabrications of armies ...
To armies crazy to have a great start to the Atake it and hope you get a little better ... but in relation spells .. and differences between the races ...

Love the avatar! Way to dress things up! Actually, after a while with armies, thieves, building, etc you can get really busy!

This is a far more interesting game than Evony, every upgrade has an effect on your army etc, and lots more to do. Only down side is I wish there could be an alliance only chat as well as world chat, but be sides that addictive.

I wish you could queue more actions since they take so long. that way things could be building while you are away doing real life stuff.

You should get on the game forum then and ask them to make that enhancement. One reason why they may not do that though is because they may think that people would use that to not have to log on as much which obviously they wouldn't want.

Its not only based on building resource building and raiding people, the magic, trade and research add another dimension.

It is complex and that is it's strong point. I do wish it had better mapping features though.

This game is great I only started Illyriad cause of boringness on work...
The more time I spend in the more things I am able to do!

Is a fantasic game with so many tactics you can use - and its just the beginning!
As well soon we could start acting more together and become more powerful.
And again than more will to be to do for us

I think Illyriad could concurrent some "real" strategic games like WC3

The main default of the game is the lack of precision concerning the technical values of certain things as soldiers strength and weaknesses for instance, otherwise it is really good.

It may not be exact but I think it takes far more into consideration than most games.

I have played many different Browser Based Games and have found most of them to be no more than a hunt and kill game. I have found that many of them have the same similarities such as:

It is simply "kill or be killed" with the "premium" players being given an automatic "win" button over all the other players.

With Illyriad the Prestige accounts do have some advantages, but if you think out your strategies you can out perform even them. I call this game the next level or rather the cutting edge in where Browser Based Games will head. It is being very well thought out and is still developing and improving.

As I was told by the head GM, this game is being developed to be the game that the GMs and the developers would want to play. They are also in continual conversations with the everyday players and listen to them on what is working and what the players want to see in the game.

Three cheers for for the imagination and innovation that is part of Illyriad.
